Fut Sao Wing Chun Kung Fu, also known as Buddha Hand, was brought to the USA by Grandmaster Henry Leung who learned
it from Great Grandmaster Gao Jhi Fut Sao. Grandmaster Henry Leung
then passed the art to my former Sifu, James Cama, to whom I am forever grateful for all that he has taught and given me.
Fut Sao Wing Chun is one of the oldest Shaolin
martial arts and considered one of the most adaptable. It's adaptability is
derived from an approach that is principle based and not technique oriented. Many
styles of martial arts favor certain body types over others. What makes Fut Sao
Wing Chun unique is that it contains the high concepts and principles of both
the soft and hardstyles of
Chinese martial arts. Therefore it can be customized to fit each individual
person and allows each person to address their own strengths and
weaknesses as they learn.
This makes it an ideal art for all who would like to learn it.
The system contains four empty hand sets which are each complimented by an extensive two man form. The hand sets
and two man forms help the student develop the underlying principles,
along with the responsive sensitivity and martial applications that
each form teaches.
It is a complete system that improves
health and well-being, teaches relaxation under stress and develops
internal energy. The training builds strength, flexibility and balance
while developing the concept that soft power defeats muscular strength.
The training center is conveniently located on the northwest
side of Chicago, between the Jefferson Park and Portage Park
neighborhoods.
